Google Bans CryptoCurrency Mining Extensions on Chrome

From now onwards, extensions will no more be accepted by Google Chrome web store that mines cryptocurrency. With the increase in malicious activities since past few months that actually embedding hidden scripts for cryptocurrency mining without taking consent of the users that actually consumes valuable computing resources. Once found that majority of such extensions having mining scripts doesn't follow the defined rules or protocols, they have started banning the same entirely.

 

The action will be taken immediately as the Chrome website will not accept any such extensions from now onwards. The existing extensions with mining script on chrome web browser will be entirely removed from the chrome store in June 2018.
