Oats and Gluten IntoleranceThere has been some doubt over the years whether or not oats are safe to eat if you are gluten intolerant. My son has been on a strict gluten-free diet for ten years due to his autism, but I discovered early on that he was able to tolerate a small amount of oats regularly in his diet.
