Ecological Mess

Burmese python Ecological Mess Giant Burmese pythons first invaded Everglades in 2000. The impact of this invasion measured now is quite alarming. According to the publications of Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences sightings of raccoons have been reduced to 99 per cent, opossums 98.9 per cent and white-tailed deer to 94 percent. Rabbits and foxes are found rare in areas where the pythons have inhabited.
